About glam | camp

glam | camp, a collaboration between blogger Jordan Reid of Ramshackle Glam, oncology research specialist and illustrator Erin Williams, and boutique owner Elise Alden, is a thoughtfully curated assortment of strange and beautiful products for the home, for children, and for women. Our products are made both in-house and by a collective of female artists from around the country.

All three of us are busy moms striving every day to balance family and work, while somehow maintaining our creativity. glam | camp was born from the desire to create art ourselves, and to support other independent female artists. Whether you're a badass stockbroker who wants to spend her Saturday night relaxing in front of Bravo with some wine and embroidery, or a passionate weaver living in the foothills of some American mountain range, we want to help foster your creative spirit with one of our super cool DIY kits, or help decorate your home with completely one-of-a-kind works of art, or just help you find a sweatshirt that'll crack up your new-mom best friend.

Our products are about women supporting women, making cool shit, and embracing their creative side - because everyone has one. Sometimes you just need a little help letting yours out.

P.S. Weird is good.

Jordan Reid

is the Founding Editor of Ramshackle Glam and the author of Ramshackle Glam: The New Mom's Haphazard Guide to (Almost) Having It All, an Carrying On: Style, Beauty, Decor (and More) for the Nervous New Mom (January 2016), and the coauthor (with Williams) of The Big Fat Activity Book For Pregnant People (spring 2017). She's a parent of two and a Bay Area resident, and thinks you get to decide for yourself what's cool.

Erin Williams

is a writer, illustrator, and semiprofessional ugly-crafter living in New York with her husband and child. She moonlights (works full time) as an Oncology Data Specialist at Flatiron Health while co-writing and illustrating funny pregnancy books with Reid. If she had free time, she would use it to watch crime shows and guess who the killer was before the reveal with stunning accuracy.

Elise Alden

is a craft addict and founder of Stripes Boutique, a children's retail shop, bringing handmade to local since 2012. Her accomplishments include keeping two children alive and not cleaning the house on a regular basis.
